Stores Clerk in Quinte West at Kruger Products

Job Description

Kruger Products LP with tissue converting assets located in Trenton, Ontario and Scarborough, Ontario is searching for a Stores Clerk for it's Trenton location.


This role will be primarily responsible to:

  • Receive, identify and verify Parts/Supplies
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms/storage areas around the plant (Eg. Vending Lockers/Machines)
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Monitor and Order parts based on Min/Max stock levels set up by the maintenance planner and purchasing coordinator to ensure critical parts are kept in stock when possible
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment
  • Help operators, maintenance staff, asset owners and other staff to find parts and supplies they require
  • Provide training on store room processes to stores customers (Operators, Maintenance Staff, Asset owners, etc.), such as using the excel catalogue, basic transactions in SAP, etc.
  • Complete kitting requests from the maintenance team (planner and Manager) to ensure production equipment downtime is minimized
  • Notify plant staff of the arrival of their parts/Supplies in the event they are brought to the store room. In some cases, deliver the parts or supplies directly to the person who ordered them.
  • Complete weekly/monthly/annual goals to make organizational improvements to the store room area
  • Other duties as assigned

 


  • Well organized. self-starter with an ability to work well unsupervised
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Mechanical or electrical background and/or knowledge of manufacturing equipment and environment
  • 2-3 experience with inventory control processes
  • Experience with SAP or comparable maintenance software
