Manage and complete product development projects with proper due diligence in a timely manner to ensure the efficient launch of new products to the market. This position will report directly to the Corporate Director of Product Development.  

  • Respond to project requests in a clear and concise manner with due diligence in all functional areas including Technology, logistics, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and finance to be reviewed through the AIM process
  • Manage assigned project portfolio such that the projects get completed in a timely manner to meet the business need
  • Gain a thorough understanding of manufacturing capabilities of KPLP mills to assess viability for new products
  • Develop knowledge in product costing, P&Ls, and financial analysis to be able to build business case/justification for new products and associated capital
  • Provide continuous improvement suggestions to enhance the efficiency of the PD Group
  • Keep up to date with competitive products to make suggestions to improve the performance of KPLP products vs. competition
  • Maintain accuracy of databases related to new products
  • Participate in trials and R&D programs to enhance technical knowledge in papermaking and converting
  • Be able to fill-in for the PD Director as needed with duties such as:
    a) Conduct and Chair the project-review/Gate review meetings
    b) Oversee/manage work-load of the PD group to ensure that projects get completed on-time and with due diligence
