Process Engineer New Westminster

The Process Engineer is responsible for increasing the productive capabilities, efficiency, safety, and reliability in designated areas including environmental performance. To achieve this end, you must recognize and translate into practical application the opportunities to modify production equipment, processes, and procedures.

You must enjoy the challenges of an active operations environment and be able to communicate and work effectively with maintenance, operations, supervisory and management personnel.

Your technical leadership and direction on environmental and process problems will help motivate and develop improvements to the operation. You will participate in developing goals and, once established, you will make independent decisions on work methods and procedures to attain the goals. Originality and ingenuity are required for devising practical, economical, environmentally sound, and safe solutions. You will provide technical support and guidance to other employees and departments.

You have a university degree in Chemical Engineering and possess, or are eligible for, a Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.) and three to five years of recent, progressive and relevant experience. With a background in manufacturing methods and process improvement programs, you possess the keen ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of solutions.
