Job Description

The main responsibility of the incumbent is to meet and exceed the objectives in terms of health, safety, quality and productivity of his sector. This objective will have to be achieved while respecting the company's goal of being a low-cost producer.

The candidate will have to be able to foster the collaboration of his team, search for solutions while respecting the individuals as well as being able to recognize the efforts made and celebrate the successes or the efforts of teams.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors or Associate Degree in an appropriate discipline or at least fifteen years of paper production experience
  • Working knowledge of paper making and converting
  • Ability to manage unionized employees.
  • Ability to communicate in French and English.

 

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Organizational skills and sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent skill in writing clearly and understandably using Microsoft Word/Excel programs to produce reports and track statistics
  • requires ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively, work effectively under pressure and time deadlines; analyse problems, propose reasonable solutions, make logical decisions, carry-out decisions made, and follow-up with feedback where appropriate.
  • Leadership and open-mindedness.
  • Bilingual (French, English).
