Job Description

Kruger Products LP manufactures and distributes high quality, cost-effective product solutions to a wide range of commercial and public entities. Through warehouse clubs, food-service and wholesale distributors and janitorial-supply companies, AFH supplies quality paper-based solutions to the accommodation, food service, property management and healthcare sectors.

 

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing the overall day to day operation of the maintenance team and on-site contractors.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and act as a technical resource for the maintenance team, including millwrights, electricians, and technicians.

  • Provide training and ongoing development to the maintenance team

  • Work with other management staff to reduce and predict mechanical/electrical problems, and ensure efficient operation of all equipment.

  • Recommend, initiate and approve requisitions, PM orders and other associated SAP transactions to obtain required contractor services, equipment, and supplies

  • Work with Operations, Production Schedulers, and Engineering to properly prioritize maintenance work and ensure proper maintenance resource allocation for allotted machine downs.

  • Prepare reports, analyzes data, make recommendations and implements maintenance activities for improving plant operations and solving maintenance related problems.

  • Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions to improve reliability of equipment.

  • Maintains an extensive plant floor presence

Position Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years ‘supervisory experience in an asset intensive industry.

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant area or trade school certification

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans

  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

  • Ability to plan, prioritize and carry out work with minimal supervision
