Job Description

Kruger Products LP manufactures and distributes high quality, cost-effective product solutions to a wide range of commercial and public entities. Through warehouse clubs, food-service and wholesale distributors and janitorial-supply companies, AFH supplies quality paper-based solutions to the accommodation, food service, property management and healthcare sectors.

Position: Machine Operator (Entry Level)

Reporting to: Shift Supervisor - Production

About the Opportunity

Currently, Kruger Products LP is looking for energetic candidates that have an ability to learn quickly and who thrive in fast-paced environments that would like to grow with our company as machine operators in our Scarborough, Ontario location.

  • Operate entry-level converting units by following running instructions; mainly consisting of handling and packaging production from machines.
  • Maintain high production numbers for daily goals by contacting the Service Operators and/or Millwrights when machine is down or changeovers are required.
  • Produce product with an emphasis on quality; completing all assigned quality checks and taking special care when bagging napkins.
  • Keep the work area clean and deposit broke baskets at the baler operator’s station when full and at the end of each shift.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety policies, compliances and regulations
  • Use all required safety equipment, e.g. Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses / goggles, etc.
  • Participate in training and cross training, improvement initiatives including health and safety and quality improvement
  • Perform other duties as required

 

  •  Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and follow the production schedule
  • Ability to lift up to 50 LBS/27 KG
  • Demonstrated listening and communication skills
  • Strong motivation with the ability to work independently or as a team member
  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to successfully complete mechanical aptitude testing

Compensation:

Fully trained rates from $15.90-$18.00 per hour plus a competitive benefits package and pension plan
