Kruger Products, L.P., New Westminster, BC, Mill is currently hiring a:

ELECTRICAL AND INSTRUMENTATION SUPERVISOR

The Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor is responsible for planning, scheduling and recording the work of a team of Red Seal Electricians and Instrumentation Mechanics that provide mill-wide electrical maintenance of equipment and facilities.

You will work closely with Operations, Engineering and other Maintenance Departments to set priorities on a daily and weekly basis and will ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner in compliance with the Electrical Code, the mill’s safety rules, and OHS regulations.

You will identify, develop, and implement electrical and instrumentation preventative maintenance plans for the mill’s assets; To accomplish this you will be responsible for developing standard operating procedures to ensure tasks are performed in a safe and consistent manner.

Additionally, you will support plant objectives through managing, planning, and executing electrical/maintenance programs, and efficiently manages to achieve results through the E&I team.

You will keep abreast of advances in technology in the electrical and instrumentation fields and seek opportunities to apply them where appropriate. Furthermore, you will be responsible for selecting and purchasing suitable replacement parts.

You have an Electrical Diploma, an University degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment in a Supervisory role.

Applicants should have strong interpersonal and communication skills,  combined with supervisory experience of a unionized workforce.  Strong computer skills are required. Knowledge of SAP computerized maintenance systems would be considered an asset.
