Job Requirements of Finance Manager, Operations:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Finance Manager, Operations will collaborate with Corporate FP&A, Mill Controllers and Business Unit Finance to oversee company-wide operational costs and ensure effective financial management. They will centrally support the business and empower stakeholders to make informed decisions to drive our business forward.
In this role, you will:
- Analyze operational spending to identify opportunities and risks
- Track, report and present monthly on variable and fixed costs along with variance drivers
- Build and support forecasting processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Effectively communicate operational impacts on short-term monthly forecasts
- Manage cost distribution models while partnering with IT on improvements
- Develop automated reporting and self-serve models for financial and operational information
- Provide inputs for financial cost modeling and benchmarking activities
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Accounting/finance designation (CPA/CFA) is required.
- University degree in Business and Accounting
- 5+ years overall business finance experience, with cross-functional experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
- Solid understanding of operations accounting, financial planning and analysis, and product costing
- Excellent data management and system skills related to finance. Strong working knowledge of SAP and excellent computer skills.
- Ability to translate financial information and concepts into simple messaging.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and the ability to multi-task, consistently meeting deadlines on multiple projects and activities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to deal with a variety of levels and functional areas in the organization
