QUALIFICATIONS:
- In process of obtaining Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field with a current GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Technical/Functional Expertise: Has a sound foundation of understanding and ability to use engineering knowledge to meet project needs
- Strong skills in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Self-motivated: able to take ownership of assignments, develop work plans and proactively seek feedback to ensure objectives are aligned and met
- Must be flexible and responsive to the needs of the department/facility/business
- Ability to organize work activities, manage work time efficiently and work independently or in teams
- Key Competencies including: ethics & integrity, quality orientation, creative & innovative thinking, problem solving, research & analysis, team work, time management, development & continual learning, accountability & dependability, decision making & judgement, planning & organizing, and communication

" SHPE 2024 - Engineering Job Opportunities (Early Career & Interns)
Engineer Co-Ops and Interns will work closely with department leaders to learn to identify issues and opportunities and to respond quickly to operational problems. Engineer Co-Ops and Interns may also work closely with applicable Maintenance and Operating Technicians for troubleshooting, maintenance and project work. KTG USA has opportunities for both year-long internships and summer co-ops.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the manufacturing team with issues affecting the papermaking, converting and operational excellence functions, including supporting and driving corrective action efforts
- Assure the strategic flow of data/information within the SAP database as it pertains to any particular converting or manufacturing processes
- Opportunities to work within teams to support efforts to manage and update aspects in the SAP Plant Maintenance System
- Add to KTG USA’s bench strength while furthering your knowledge and expertise in a manufacturing environment
