Job Requirements of Coordinator - Continuous Improvement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or other relevant disciplines
- Comprehensive knowledge of continuous improvement tools (Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing)
- A minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the pulp and paper industry

Coordinator - Continuous Improvement

Job Duties:
Reporting to the Director, Quality and Technical, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating all continuous improvement processes and test preparation.
Specifically, the candidate will:
- Coordinate efforts to improve our Operational Excellence daily management systems in manufacturing and maintenance areas
- Participate in Corporate/network wide meetings as the site leader for New Westminster
- Provide expertise and training on the use of continuous improvement tools for all mill members and new hires
- Stay abreast of improvement opportunities within our operations and facilitate/track problem solving activities to drive improvements
- Interact with management, supervisory teams and operators to promote continuous improvement
- Provide the statistics necessary for decision-making when testing, problem-solving, or seizing an opportunity for improvement
