Certified Electrician

Our facility runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Successful candidates must be available for all shifts, including weekends and nightshifts.

Job Responsibilities:

This role is primarily working with the maintenance team but will also provide backup support to our production team to assist with the electrical aspects of the machines. Our facility and production involves a wide variety of electrical infrastructure and equipment and we aim to be able to perform the majority of our preventive and breakdown maintenance in-house.

  • Strong ability to problem-solve, troubleshoot and resolve various automation, control, and electrical systems, or provide detailed information to expedite repair by other team members or outside technicians
  • Test, calibrate, commission, replace or upgrade electrical devices and components
  • Support operations to locate and correct defects and problems
  • 480V to 2300V troubleshooting and switching of distribution devices
  • Cross-train to assemble and wire machines and controls to assist with production as needed
  • Perform all work in accordance with safety procedures and quality standards
  • Work within our continuous improvement culture
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Requirements

  • Red Seal Journeyman Electrician
  • Technical Diploma or Certificate in Electrical and/or Electronics are a definite asset
  • 3-5 years experience as an Industrial Electrician
  • Ability to read and write PLC logic
  • Robotics, VFD and HMI Experience
  • Arc flash, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform training

Compensation

  • Base payrate of $48.66/hour
